Romitorio Rooms

Both buildings have been renovated, and the rooms are now ready to accommodate anyone who wishes to spend time in this rustic and unique environment, shaped over the centuries by agricultural and religious activities. The Romitorio is surrounded by vineyards, and its communal spaces host meetings and tastings during the long Sicilian summer.

The Romitorio and the small chapel are two adjacent buildings that appear as a single complex when viewed from the outside. Their existence is closely tied to the Solacium fortified farmhouse and they share a rich history connected to that of Sicily during its many ages - Byzantine, Arab, Medieval and Renaissance.

When Targia was still a village of peasants, this area of the baronial properties was managed by a small community of nuns, primarily dedicated to fieldwork and wine production.

The main part of the Romitorio consists of a spacious ground-floor apartment with three bedrooms that share a living room, kitchen, and breakfast area. Each bedroom has a private bathroom with a shower, including one designed for users with disabilities. Adjacent to the church, a mini-apartment with independent access has also been renovated for those seeking additional privacy.

In the near future, two additional apartments (one with two beds and the other with four beds) will be made available, both featuring a living room with a kitchen.
